Sweater hunt: avenue's curvy sweater

I'm still on the hunt for cute, modest, warm, non-bulky sweaters to wear to work. I ordered the curvy tunic sweater from Avenue since it was only $17 and it looked great on someone in the fatshionista LJ community. (I ordered it because, now that we live in Manassas, the nearest brick and mortar store is pretty far away.)

Curvy Tunic Sweater

The good: The sweater is rather cute on me, and has a lovely soft feel. The sizing was true.

The bad: It's so cheaply made that the oddly-placed horizontal seam under the bust came apart in the first half hour of wear. There just wasn't any material for the stitching to hold on to.

Verdict: Returning it and won't exchange it. It looked nice and felt good, but I don't trust the stitching to be any better on another one.

The irritating: $8 shipping, plus paying for return shipping, and I've paid for an unwearable sweater twice over.

Wow, that sucks. It looked like it was cute, too. Oh well. Care to see GW getting hit with a shoe?

I ordered one, too, and while I didn't love it, I did keep it. Their "mixed stitch" sweater (at least I think that's what it's called) is very similar in shape but made much better (IMO). I have 2 of those and I love them.
